This adapters used in adapting a 6-inch flat lap in a drill press for the use of grinding edges of the beads or cabs you have cut out with the core drills

ADAPTER

Just to show what can b made with the core drill and a diamond drill bit.

BEAD

The drill adaptor is used to center the hole in the bead that you have drilled with your core drill. You drill about 2/3 of the way through your slab

with the core drill then insert the drill adaptor into the groove and it will allow you to find the center perfectly each and every time. Drill just enough to mark the hole then remove the adaptor  and finish drilling again only about 1/3 of the way through. After you have started as many beads as you want from the slab finish the core drill so you release the bead from the slab. Turn the bead over and use the adaptor to find the center from the back side and the finish drilling until you meet the hole from the other side. You have a perfect hole with out any chipping around the edge.
